Pictures from My California Trip

Hi everyone, here are a few pictures from my trip to California.
There are some of my classmates. We all graduated together, except for the girl in the last image on the right. She is a friend of Christina (middle bottom image).

At the top from left to right you have: Ronald Tang, Erin, Jay Svoboda and your one and only.
Next you have Leon Gittens (now working at Rhythm & Hughes).
The last picture is of Jason Behr, Christina Erdos and her friend.

Oficially a Character Animator!

Hi Everyone,
I just came back from a great trip to California where I attended Siggraph for the first time, and graduated from Animation Mentor with a diploma in Advanced Character Animation.

It was a great time. I got to meet a few of my mentors, class mates and all the wonderful people who work in the background at Animation Mentor. You are all great!!

I was fortunate to have won a autographed poster of How to Train your Dragon.
I also got a two sided poster from the Pixar booth at Siggraph, and also a lovely Renderman Walking Teapot.

I am looking forward to attending Siggraph next year in Vancouver. It should be a blast!!

Updated Character Animation Demo Reel

Hi Everyone,
I just updated my Demo Reel.
Please have a look and feel free to leave a comment.

I changed a few shots and added a couple also.

All animation done by Randall Scott. Rigs by Animation Mentor, and car model from CG Channel.

I can finally call myself a Animation Ninja!! I made it through to the end!

I have had the most amazing experience these past 18 months learning animation at Animation Mentor!
There were a lot of sleepless nights, nervous tension waiting for my assignment to upload before the deadline, touch challenges, and have learned so much!

Thanks you Animation Mentor! Thanks to all the friends I have made, and thanks to the founders of Animation Mentor: Bobby Beck, Shawn Kelly and Carlos Baena.

My awesome mentors are: Derek Gladen, Chad Sellers, Kevin OHara, Nick Bruno, Boola Robello,
Jay Jackson and Sean Sexton.
All of these Mentors, along with all the lecturers work at all the large studios in the US. (ILM, Blue Sky, Disney Studios, Pixar, Dream Works, Digital Domain, just to name a few.)

I will be heading down to LA and San Francisco for Siggraph and my graduation this July. Should be a blast. I am looking forward to meeting everyone, and just being up close and personal with some of the most awesome animators in the world! Some day I hope to be joining them and as a professional animator.

This weekend I will be uploading a new version of my Demo Reel. Enjoy and do leave me a note. Now that I am finished, I will be checking my blog every day.

Yeah!!! Calss 5 at AM down in the books

I am very thrilled to be finished class 5 at Animation Mentor. It has been a really tough term, but an awesome one. I did my first two person dialogue animation, and it was really cool.

I will post my demo reel addition later on, and an updated AM one once I am totally finished at Animation Mentors this June.

Looking forward to graduation and Siggraph in California this Summer. Should be awesome!!

Character Animation Demo Reel Version 1

Hi Everyone,
I thought I would post a copy of my character Animation demo reel for everyone to see. In the next three to four months I will be adding another shot to this, so please stay tuned.

I created all the animation. The character rigs were created by Animation Mentors. The model of the car in the first animation was from Creative Crash.
The Police light effect was done in After Effects CS3.

My First Blog Experience

This is my first blog, and I am very excited to share my stories with you.
I will take it slow to start, but please visit regularly to see what new and excited graphics or animation I am working on.

I will be posting a Demo Reel of some of my character animation very soon. I will also be posting a reel with some of my After Effects and compositing work also.
